Yesterday (Wednesday 28th May) evening, I attended the Fairer Tax Group’s second hustings. There were some good questions and good answers, with the following coming across the strongest for me: Adrian Gabriel, Aidan Matthews, Jayne Ozanne and Steve Williams. Well done to all involved. The evening was frequently punctuated by mic drop sounds from the cabled mic – amusing but frustrating for all concerned, I’m sure! It also marked the return of Jenny Kendall-Tobias to chairing public discourse. She did amazingly and I was so happy to see her again, back doing what she’s good at – steering the conversation and getting the best out of people. Well done, Jenny!
Tomorrow (Friday 30th May), I’m hosting a casual meet & greet in Mojito Cocktail Bar 4pm – 6:30. If any candidates and voters want to join me for a chat about the election and what is at stake, I encourage you to do so! Don’t worry, you can still attend the BBC Hustings at 6pm if you come early and stick to mocktails or soft drinks!
